My Experience for Seeing Ghosts: A Memoir

Lloyd Kaufman

I never expected I’d be seeing ghosts, but here I am. It all started when I was visiting my grandmother in the countryside. She had always been a bit superstitious, so I thought nothing of it when she told me about the ghost that lived in her attic.

At first, I laughed it off and thought she was just playing a joke on me. But then one night, I heard strange noises coming from the attic. Curiosity got the best of me, so I decided to investigate.

When I opened the door, there she was – an elderly woman wearing a white dress and standing in the corner of the room. She didn’t move or speak, but I could feel her presence in the room. As soon as I saw her, my heart began to beat faster and I felt an overwhelming sense of fear come over me.

It was then that I knew my grandmother hadn’t been lying – I truly was seeing ghosts. After that experience, more and more ghosts kept appearing to me out of nowhere. Everywhere I went, they were there – in libraries, parks, restaurants…you name it!

At first, it was frightening and overwhelming. But after reading Kat Chow’s Seeing Ghosts: A Memoir, something changed inside of me. The book helped me understand what these spirits were trying to tell me and how to work with them rather than against them. Now, instead of being scared of them, I’m grateful for their messages and guidance and look forward to our interactions!

What I don’t Like

1. Unconventional structure – the book is written in a non-linear, fragmented style which may be difficult for some readers to follow.

2. Unique writing style – Kat Chow has a unique writing style that is not always easy to decipher.

3. Emotional content – The memoir deals with some heavy subjects and can be emotionally draining for some readers.

4. Triggering language – The book contains triggering language and graphic descriptions of traumatic events, which may not be suitable for all audiences.

5. Lack of closure – Some readers may find the ending unsatisfactory due to the lack of closure or resolution of the main storyline.
