My Experience for Exit Through the Gift Shop

Ray Cooley

I recently watched Exit Through the Gift Shop and it was, to say the least, an eye-opening experience. It’s a documentary about street art and famous graffiti artist Banksy.

The film starts off with an amazing aerial shot of Paris, which is where most of the film takes place. This is followed by a series of interviews with some of the world’s most renowned street artists. From there we move onto an introduction to Banksy himself and his work, which was really inspiring.

But it doesn’t stop there. The next part of the film follows Thierry Guetta, a French immigrant who discovers his passion for photography after filming everything in sight. He’s soon shooting all over the world and becoming close friends with Banksy and other legendary street artists.

The film culminates in Guetta creating his own street art exhibition called “Exit Through the Gift Shop”, which quickly becomes a critical success and changes his life forever.

It’s a must-watch for anyone interested in street art, photography, or just great stories! If you haven’t seen Exit Through the Gift Shop yet, I highly recommend that you do!

What I don’t Like

1. Lack of narrative structure: This documentary does not have a clear storyline, and some viewers may find it difficult to follow.

2. Lengthy runtime: The film runs for over one hour and thirty minutes, making it too long for some viewers.

3. Poor pacing: The pace of the film is slow at times, making it tedious to watch.

4. No interviews with Banksy: Banksy himself does not appear in the documentary, which could be disappointing for fans of the artist.

5. Limited appeal: The film may not appeal to those who are not already familiar with Banksy’s work or street art as a whole.
