Extract Pros and Cons
1. Pros:
Extract, directed by Jason Bateman, is a highly entertaining comedy that will have you laughing from start to finish. The movie stars Bateman as Joel, the owner of an extract plant that is having financial difficulties. He is desperate for a way to get his business back on track and comes up with a plan to hire a con artist to help him extract money from his employees. The plot thickens when the con artist turns out to be more than he bargained for.
2. Pros:
The performances in Extract are top-notch, with Bateman giving a great performance as Joel and Mila Kunis playing Cindy, the con artist hired to help Joel with his scheme. Ben Affleck also stars as Dean, an employee at the extract plant who falls in love with Cindy and complicates matters even further. All of these characters play off each other perfectly, creating a hilarious yet heartfelt story.
3. Cons:
Extract does have some flaws, most notably its slow pace. At times it feels like the movie drags on too long and some scenes could have been trimmed down significantly. Also, the ending feels a bit rushed and unsatisfying compared to the rest of the film.
4. Cons:
Another issue with Extract is that it relies heavily on toilet humor for laughs. While this may work for some comedies, it doesn’t quite fit in with Extract, which has its own unique brand of humor that is much more subtle and effective than cheap jokes about bodily functions.

My Experience for Extract
I recently watched Extract, starring Jason Bateman, and I must say it was really funny! It follows the misadventures of a middle-aged man who runs an extract factory and has to deal with numerous quirky characters. From the overly passionate safety inspector to the embezzling neighbor, this movie provides plenty of laughs.
One of my favorite scenes is when Joel (Bateman) takes advantage of his employees’ desire for free extract samples. After they ask if they can have a few bottles, he offers them a “deal”. He says if they can guess what flavor it is, they can have as much as they want! Naturally, no one guesses correctly and he ends up giving away hundreds of bottles in exchange for some good laughs.
The movie also dives into the struggles of owning a business. The factory’s production line breaks down frequently due to faulty equipment and Joel must resort to desperate measures to keep the business afloat. From begging for loans from banks to hiring an unqualified intern, Joel must use all of his resources to save the day.
Overall, Extract was a hilarious movie that also showed the struggles of being a small business owner. If you’re looking for a great comedy with lots of heart, then I highly recommend watching it!
What I don’t Like
1. Storyline can be predictable: The basic premise of the movie is that Jason Bateman’s character, Joel, is looking for an extract from a factory. While this provides a good basis for comedic situations and plenty of laughs, some may find the storyline to be overly predictable and lacking in originality.
2. Certain jokes fall flat: The movie features a number of jokes that don’t quite hit the mark, leading to awkward silences or laughter that feels forced.
3. Some characters are underdeveloped: While most of the characters are well-developed and entertaining, there are some who are given short shrift in terms of their motivations and backstories. This could lead to confusion on the part of viewers when these characters make decisions that don’t seem to fit with their personalities.
4. Characters lack depth: Even though most of the characters have been developed reasonably well, they still lack any real depth or complexity. As a result, viewers may not connect emotionally with any particular character and may struggle to become invested in the story as a whole.

Directed by Jason Bateman, this film offers up an amusing glimpse into the world of flavor extraction, showing how easy it can be to make delicious coffee at home. Gather your ingredients. You’ll need freshly ground espresso beans, some high quality milk and a few drops of your favorite extract (vanilla, almond or hazelnut are all great options).
Brew the espresso. Use an espresso machine or stovetop moka pot to create a strong espresso shot. If you’re using a moka pot, use two parts water to one part ground espresso beans.
Steam the milk. Heat some milk in a saucepan until it just begins to steam. Froth it with a whisk or electric frother if desired.
Add extract. Put several drops of extract into your mug and then pour in the hot espresso. Swirl the mixture gently to combine.
Finish with milk. Pour the steamed milk over top and enjoy! You can also add some cocoa powder or cinnamon as desired.
