My Experience for Psycho (1960) [Blu-ray]

Ray Cooley

I’m a huge Hitchcock fan, so when I heard that Psycho (1960) [Blu-ray] was finally released on Blu-ray, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!

After popping the disc into my player, I had to take a few deep breaths before pressing play. I mean, no matter how many times you watch Psycho, it’s still one of the most thrilling and suspenseful movies of all time!

The Psycho Blu-ray transfer was absolutely stunning. Every frame of this classic film was crisp and clear – even after 60 years! The sound quality was also top-notch, with every creaking door and shrieking violin note perfectly balanced in the mix.

It wasn’t only the technical aspects that impressed me though – Anthony Perkins’ performance as Norman Bates is just as chilling and unnerving as ever. Watching him go from bumbling motel manager to homicidal maniac is still something of a masterclass in psychological horror.

Psycho (1960) [Blu-ray] is a must-have for any Hitchcock fan or movie lover in general. Whether you’re watching it for the first time or the hundredth, you’ll be sure to be glued to your seat until the very end!

What I don’t Like

1. Limited special features: The Blu-ray version of Psycho does not include any special features, except for a theatrical trailer and some production notes.
2. No subtitles: Psycho is only available in English with no subtitles.
3. Audio quality issues: Some viewers have reported audio issues with the Blu-ray version of Psycho, including background noise and muffled dialogue.
4. Missing scenes: Some of the original scenes from Alfred Hitchcock’s original film are missing from the Blu-ray version of Psycho.
5. Poor picture quality: The picture quality on the Blu-ray version of Psycho is not as good as other films released around the same time.

How to Recreate the Iconic Shower Scene from Psycho

Psycho (1960) [Blu-ray] is one of the most iconic films in history, renowned for its gripping tension and Hitchcock’s masterful direction. Perhaps the most well-known scene from the film is the infamous shower scene. Why not take a stab at recreating it? Here’s how to recreate the famous shower scene from Psycho:

  • Gather Your Supplies. You’ll need a camera, a room with a shower stall, and a few props such as a knife, soap dish, and towel rack.
  • Set Up Your Camera. Place your camera so that it captures the entire shower area. You should use enough light to make sure you get clear shots without any graininess or blurriness.
  • Stage The Scene. Set up your props around the shower and make sure they look realistic. Add some fake blood if desired; this will give your scene more impact and suspense.
  • Film It! Have your actor/actress enter the shower area and perform the scene as you instruct them. Make sure they move their body naturally and let their emotions shine through while they’re acting out their part. When you’re finished filming, review your footage to make sure everything came out right.

Now that you know how to recreate the iconic shower scene from Psycho, why not give it a try? With some practice and patience, you can create an impressive homage to Hitchcock’s classic horror movie!
