Do you ever dream of being marooned in a tropical paradise? Well, the Blue Lagoon, starring Christopher Atkins and Brooke Shields, will make that dream come true! I recently watched this special edition with my family and we had a great time.

The story follows two young cousins, Emmeline (Shields) and Richard (Atkins), who are stranded on a tropical island after surviving a shipwreck. With no one around to teach them how to survive, they must use their own wits and ingenuity to live off the land. As they learn to cope with their new environment, they also discover the beauty and joys of first love.

The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and truly captures the essence of a tropical paradise. The music score is also quite captivating and really sets the mood for the movie. What I enjoyed most was watching Emmeline and Richard blossoming into adulthood. They go through some difficult times but ultimately come out stronger on the other side.
