Ray Cooley

I remember the first time I watched Near Dark (Special Edition). It was a dark and stormy night. I had heard about this movie, but never expected it to be so good!

The story follows Caleb Colton, a young man living in rural Oklahoma who is swept up into a world of vampires after he meets the mysterious Mae. He soon finds himself in over his head as he embarks on an epic journey full of action, adventure and romance.

The cinematography was simply stunning, and the special effects were incredible. After watching Near Dark (Special Edition), I felt like I was actually with the characters as they navigated their way through the eerie landscapes and intense battles that ensued.

The soundtrack was also great; it added an extra layer of suspense and excitement to the film that really made it stand out from other vampire movies.

Overall, Near Dark (Special Edition) is an excellent movie, and one I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a thrilling horror flick with beautiful scenery and great performances.

What I don’t Like

1) Poorly aged visuals: The special edition of Near Dark was released in 2004, but the visuals are still dated compared to modern films.
2) Limited bonus features: While this version of the film includes a commentary track and an alternate ending, it lacks any other extras aside from a trailer.
3) Audio issues: The audio on the DVD release is sometimes distorted or too quiet.
4) Outdated format: As with many older releases, Near Dark (Special Edition) is not available in HD formats such as Blu-ray.
