My Experience for Zulu (Blu-ray)

Ray Cooley

I recently had the opportunity to watch Zulu, the classic 1964 British epic war film starring Michael Caine. Set in South Africa during the 19th century, this movie follows a group of British soldiers who must defend their small outpost against an overwhelming force of Zulu warriors. The battle scenes are intense and thrilling, with some of them being shot on location in South Africa.

The acting is excellent, with Caine giving a powerful performance as Lt. John Chard, the leader of the group of defenders. He’s supported by a strong cast that includes Stanley Baker, Jack Hawkins, Nigel Green and James Booth. I was also impressed by the score composed by John Barry, which adds just the right amount of tension and drama to the scenes.

Zulu is a gripping and suspenseful war movie that has stood the test of time. It’s definitely worth watching if you’re a fan of historical films or military epics. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting and compelling story set in colonial Africa!

What I don’t Like

1. Some scenes may be too intense for younger viewers
2. The Blu-ray disc is region locked
3. Some of the dialogue is hard to understand
4. The film’s runtime is longer than most modern movies
5. The original soundtrack has been replaced with a new one
