My Experience for Schooled by Gordon Korman

Lloyd Kaufman

I’ve been reading the book Schooled by Gordon Korman and it’s been an amazing journey. It all started when I moved to rural Appleton, a town without a high school. I was enrolled in an alternative education program run by a hippie named Capricorn Anderson – let’s just say he wasn’t your typical teacher!

Capricorn taught us everything from music theory to auto mechanics. He had some pretty crazy ideas but somehow they worked. His lessons were so interesting that I found myself looking forward to every class.

One of my favorite classes was animal husbandry, where we learned about keeping chickens and other farm animals. We even built our own chicken coop! It was great working with my classmates on this project and seeing the final product come together.

My experience with Schooled has changed my life for the better. Not only did I learn a lot, but the book also taught me important life lessons – like how to think outside the box and be creative in problem solving. Thanks to Capricorn, I’m now more confident and independent than ever before.

What I don’t Like

1. Storyline is slow at times
2. Characters lack depth
3. Some readers may find the dialogue dull
4. The subject matter is outdated
5. Plot twists are predictable
6. Lack of resolution in some plot lines
