My Experience for What the Constitution Means to Me

Lloyd Kaufman

I recently purchased ‘What the Constitution Means to Me’ and I must say it has been one of my best investments ever. Learning about the constitution in a way that is funny, entertaining and engaging was an experience like no other.

From the beginning, this book grabbed me and didn’t let go. It was as if I was transported back to 1787, learning from the Founding Fathers themselves. Not only did I learn why our government works the way it does, but also how it affects our daily lives in ways we don’t even realize.

My favorite part of this book was its use of humor! It truly made understanding the US Constitution easier and more fun than I expected. As I read through each section, I found myself laughing out loud at all the puns and jokes scattered throughout.

The author also takes time to explain some of the more difficult parts of the Constitution in a clear and concise manner. The writing style is straightforward yet still captivating enough to keep you engaged until the very end. This definitely helped me understand why certain laws exist and how they can be interpreted differently by different people.

Overall, What the Constitution Means to Me is an excellent resource that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn more about our nation’s founding document. The combination of humor, education, and entertainment make this book a must-read for anyone interested in learning about America’s past – and its future!

What I don’t Like

1. No footnotes: This book does not provide any footnotes or citations for the information presented.
2. Limited sources: The author relies on mostly his own opinions and personal experiences, rather than external research or detailed analysis of legal documents.
3. Lack of depth: Although this book provides an interesting perspective on constitutional law, it does not go into enough detail to be a comprehensive resource.
4. Repetitive format: The text is written in a monologue-style that can become tedious and repetitive at times.
5. Limiting context: While the book discusses some historical context surrounding the Constitution, it does not explore the complexities of many of its provisions in detail.
