We took a break from our investigation, and decided to pick up the book. As soon as we opened it, we realized that The Night Fire was exactly what we needed! It was an interesting story of two detectives on different paths in life, but both trying to solve the same crime. We couldn’t put it down!

The story follows Ren–e Ballard, a young female detective in Los Angeles, and Harry Bosch, an experienced veteran detective. They must combine their skills as they investigate a cold case involving the murder of a prominent attorney twenty years ago.

We were so absorbed in The Night Fire, that we almost forgot about our case! We had spent hours reading, discussing theories, and laughing over the characters. We felt invigorated, and ready to tackle our case again.
