Lloyd Kaufman

I’ve been living in Beartown for almost two decades now and I can honestly say that this is the best place to call home. It’s a small town with a big heart; it’s a community of people who care about each other and look out for one another. The people here are just as amazing as the scenery!

The winters can be long, but we make the best of it. The town has its own hockey team, which always brings us together, cheering on our heroes. We even have our very own Bear Festival every year with live music, dancing, and celebrating all things Beartown!

But then something happens that changes everything: an act of violence shakes the entire community and puts everyone’s beliefs to the test. Fredrik Backman’s novel Beartown follows the story of how this small town deals with such tragedy and the consequences that come from it.

This book is full of raw emotion and insight into what makes Beartown so special. It captures the essence of human nature and how communities can come together in times of crisis. It’s an unforgettable read that really comes alive through Backman’s vivid writing style. What I don’t Like

2. Lack of development for secondary characters: While the main protagonists are well-developed, many of the secondary characters remain underdeveloped throughout the book.
3. Longwinded dialogue: Some of the conversations between characters can be overly long and drawn out, making it difficult to stay focused on the plot.
4. Unsatisfactory resolution: The ending of the novel leaves much to be desired, leaving many readers feeling unsatisfied with how things turn out.
