My Experience for Blazing Saddles

Ray Cooley

I recently watched Blazing Saddles and it was one of the funniest films I’ve ever seen! The movie stars Cleavon Little as Bart, a black sheriff in the Old West. The film is filled with outrageous gags and some of the best dialogue you will ever hear. The story follows Bart as he tries to keep peace in the town of Rock Ridge despite the efforts of the villainous Hedley Lamarr (Harvey Korman).

The main characters are all hilarious, from Gene Wilder’s Jim, the Waco Kid, to Madeline Kahn’s Lili Von Shtupp. And then there’s Alex Karras as Mongo, who steals every scene he’s in with his menacing yet comical physical comedy.

Blazing Saddles has something for everyone: slapstick comedy, witty dialogue, and plenty of social commentary on race relations and gender roles. While some of the jokes haven’t aged well since the film’s release in 1974, it still stands up as one of the funniest movies ever made. If you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out!

What I don’t Like

Product Disadvantages:
1. Poorly written script which is often overly offensive and not funny.
2. Inconsistent editing that makes the movie feel choppy and disjointed at times.
3. Some of the jokes are dated and may not have the same effect on modern audiences.
4. The slapstick humor can be a bit too much for some viewers.
5. The film has been criticized for its use of racial stereotypes.
