My Experience for Blindspotting

Ray Cooley

“I recently watched Blindspotting, and it was an amazing experience! The story follows Collin, played by Daveed Diggs, a parolee on the last days of his probation. He’s trying hard to stay out of trouble, but is constantly reminded of the challenges of living in Oakland.

The story really resonated with me because I’m from Oakland too. It showed the reality of police harassment and racial profiling that many of us have experienced first-hand. But it also highlighted the beauty and vibrancy of our city.

The movie was full of great performances, especially Daveed Diggs who puts in an incredible performance as Collin. His character arc is one of redemption, and watching him go through his struggles made me root for him more and more as the movie went on.

Blindspotting is an absolute must-watch if you’re looking for a powerful story about race, identity and community. Even though there are some tough topics discussed throughout, it never felt preachy or too heavy-handed. This is definitely one that will stay with me for a long time.”

What I don’t Like

1. Lacking in character development
2. Heavy-handed dialogue
3. Unfocused storyline
4. Weakly executed themes
5. Lengthy runtime
6. Poorly developed supporting characters
