After being born without an immune system, Jimmy’s parents must do whatever it takes to keep him safe from all the germs and illnesses out there. So they construct a giant bubble suit for him to wear at all times.

At first, Jimmy doesn’t want anything to do with his bubble suit. But eventually he comes around and realizes it’s what keeps him alive. He begins traveling across America in search of the girl of his dreams, venturing farther and farther away from home as he goes. Along the way, he meets some hilarious characters and has some truly incredible adventures – despite being stuck inside his bubble!

I laughed so hard at some of the situations Jimmy finds himself in while wearing his bubble suit. From getting pulled over by the police to attending a monster truck rally, Bubble Boy has something for everyone. Jake Gyllenhaal really shines in this role and brings a lot of heart and humor to the character of Jimmy Livingston.
