I recently had the chance to experience Buried (2010) [Blu-ray] and I’m still buzzing from the amazing adventure. It’s a movie that will leave you on the edge of your seat, laughing hysterically and screaming in terror all at the same time.

The story follows Ryan Reynolds as Paul Conroy, a truck driver who finds himself buried alive in an old wooden coffin with only a lighter and a cell phone for comfort. With his limited resources, he must find a way out before his air runs out – or worse yet, someone finds him. It was one of the most intense experiences of my life as I watched Paul race against time to survive.

The suspense was incredible, making it impossible to guess what would happen next. Every second seemed like an eternity as I held my breath and prayed for Paul to make it out alive. And when he finally did, I felt like I’d just gone through a roller coaster of emotions – fear, excitement, joy and relief!

But while Buried is filled with plenty of thrills and chills, there’s also plenty of humor to keep things light. From Paul’s witty quips to some truly laugh-out-loud moments, this movie had me cracking up even during its most intense scenes.

How to Escape From Being Buried Alive

The psychological thriller movie Buried (2010) [Blu-ray] is a story of a truck driver, Paul Conroy, who gets kidnapped in Iraq and wakes up buried alive in a coffin. While it is a fictional story, there are still some tips we can learn from the movie to help us escape if we ever get into such a situation.

First, try to stay calm and think logically. In the movie, Paul quickly realizes that the coffin he is in has no air circulation. He needs to find a way to create an air hole so he can have enough oxygen. To do this, he uses his cigarette lighter to melt through the plastic lining of the coffin and make a tiny hole for air to come through.

Second, use whatever tools you have around you to break out of the coffin. Despite being buried underground, there will often be some items like coins or even keys that you can use as makeshift tools. In the movie, Paul finds coins inside his pocket and uses them to unscrew some screws on one side of the coffin. With enough force, he was able to break out of it.

Third, look for any signs of help from outside. Even though you are buried underground, sound still travels easily through soil and rocks. Try yelling for help at full volume or banging on the side of your coffin continuously with any tools you have available. In the movie, Paul does this throughout the whole film and eventually manages to get someone’s attention when rescuers start digging for him.

These three tips may help increase your chances of survival if you ever find yourself in a similar situation as Paul Conroy from Buried (2010) [Blu-ray]. Stay calm, use every tool available and never give up hope; who knows what miracles could happen!
