Who are They for

Catan is the world’s most popular strategy board game. It is a classic game of resource management, development and trading. Players take on the roles of settlers, exploring and taming the uncharted lands of Catan. The competition is fierce as they build roads, settle new areas and trade resources with each other to gain victory points. From their initial settlements, players can expand and upgrade their infrastructure to create their own unique kingdom. But be careful! Your opponents are also competing for valuable resources and will do whatever it takes to secure victory. With Catan, no two games are ever the same.

The Catan Studio edition includes all the components necessary for an unforgettable gaming experience: A large game board, 19 terrains/resource tiles, 95 resource cards, 25 development cards, 4 building costs cards, 20 wooden settlements, 16 wooden cities, 60 wooden roads, 2 dice, 1 robber pawn and rules booklet. All these components are beautifully illustrated with artwork inspired by traditional German peasant prints. This version of Catan provides even more control over the direction of the game play while still retaining that classic Catan feel we all know and love. Whether you’re a seasoned Trader or a new Settler, there’s something for everyone in this timeless classic.

My Experience for Catan

James Mullins

I was so excited when I first got my hands on Catan! It was a game I had heard about for years and finally I could play it! The directions were easy to follow, and I was able to set up the board quickly. The pieces were beautifully crafted, and the colors really stood out against the board.

The game itself was an absolute blast! As we built our roads, settlements and cities, the competition was fierce. It was thrilling to watch as resources changed hands, settlements grew and strategies shifted. We even had a few rules debates that were quickly settled by looking at the rule book.

The hours flew by, and before we knew it, someone had won! We all agreed that Catan was one of the best games we had ever played. Now that I have Catan in my collection, I can’t wait until game night rolls around again!

What I don’t Like

Product Disadvantages List
1. Expensive price tag
2. Game pieces are small and can be easily misplaced
3. Limited replayability
4. Long setup time for the board
5. Incomplete game pieces in some versions of the game
6. Complicated rules that may cause confusion for new players
7. Some versions have a maximum of four players
