My Experience for Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman

Lloyd Kaufman

They said I was crazy. But I knew they were wrong. I had to reach the bottom of Challenger Deep, and I was determined to do it. After all, it’s not every day you get to explore the deepest part of the ocean!

I knew that I would need a lot of preparation for this journey, so I stocked up on supplies: oxygen tanks, a survival suit, and enough food to last me weeks. I even brought along my own submarine!

Finally, the day came when I began my descent into the depths of Challenger Deep. The pressure was intense as I got closer and closer to the ocean floor. But I was excited too; after all, no one else had ever gone this deep before!

When I reached the bottom, I couldn’t believe my eyes. There were creatures down there that no one had ever seen before—giant squids and other sea monsters that looked like something out of a fairy tale! It was an amazing sight.

But my time at Challenger Deep was short-lived; soon enough it was time for me to head back up to the surface. As I made my way to safety, I felt proud of what I had accomplished—no one else could say that they’d been to the deepest part of the ocean!

What I don’t Like

1. Challenger Deep lacks a strong plot structure.
2. Character development is limited and it can be hard to connect with the protagonist.
3. The book has many abstract ideas that can be difficult to comprehend.
4. There are some instances of violence in the novel that could be unsettling for some readers.
5. The pace of the story is slow and can be off-putting to readers who prefer faster-paced books.
