My Experience for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Lloyd Kaufman

It was a curious incident. I had been walking my dog late one night when I noticed something out of the ordinary – there was a dog in the night-time, just standing there looking at me.

I didn’t know what to do – I thought it might be a stray or possibly even a pet that had gotten loose. I decided to investigate and find out what was going on.

I started asking around the neighborhood if anyone knew who the dog belonged to. No one seemed to know anything about it, so I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I slowly approached the mysterious canine, trying not to scare it away, and then suddenly it started barking! I was so scared I almost jumped back but I stayed put, determined to solve this curious incident.

Turns out the dog was an old friend of mine’s pup that had somehow escaped from his yard! We were both relieved that everything was okay and happy that our little adventure had ended on such a good note.

What I don’t Like

1. Content can be difficult for some readers to understand: The language and structure of the novel is complex and might not be suitable or accessible for all readers.
2. The book contains heavy themes: The novel tackles deep issues such as death, mental illness, and physical abuse that can be unsettling or triggering for some readers.
3. The protagonist’s narration can be unrelatable: As a story told from the perspective of an autistic child, there are elements to his narrative that may not make sense to those who aren’t familiar with autism spectrum disorder.
4. It has limited appeal: Due to its content and subject matter, this novel might only have a narrow audience appeal.
