My Experience for Ghost Story by Peter Straub

Lloyd Kaufman

My friends and I were sitting around in a dark basement. We had just finished reading Ghost Story by Peter Straub, and we were all feeling a bit spooked out. We started telling each other our own ghost stories, trying to one-up each other.

Suddenly, the lights went off and we heard strange noises coming from somewhere far away. We were completely freaked out! We all huddled together, not knowing what was going on.

Then, out of nowhere, a mysterious figure appeared in the corner of the room. It was wearing a black cloak and a wide-brimmed hat. We had no idea who it was or where it came from!

The figure slowly made its way towards us, and we all screamed in terror. But then it began to speak in a calm voice: “You know what’s happening here don’t you? You have been cursed with ghostly visions because of Ghost Story. Now you must find a way to break the curse!”

We all looked at each other with disbelief, but then we realized that the only way forward was to finish the story that Peter Straub had left us with. And so we set out on an epic journey to break the curse of Ghost Story once and for all!

What I don’t Like

3. Lengthy dialogue: There are long passages of dialogue throughout the novel, which can be difficult to follow at times.
4. Complex characters: The characters in this book are complex and multi-dimensional, which can make it hard to keep track of who is who.
5. Lack of closure: The ending of Ghost Story leaves some questions unanswered, which may leave readers unsatisfied.
