My Experience for Henry and Mudge: The First Book by Cynthia Rylant

Lloyd Kaufman

My best friend is Henry and his faithful companion, Mudge! We have been together since I was a little kid and it’s been an amazing journey. From playing in the backyard to taking trips around the world, our adventures have been unforgettable.

One of my favorite memories is when we took a trip to the beach. Henry and Mudge had never seen the ocean before, so they were both so excited! We spent hours exploring the shoreline and collecting seashells. Mudge loved chasing after the waves as they rolled in, while Henry was more content just sitting back and watching.

We also love doing activities together, like going on hikes or playing in our treehouse. Henry always brings along his trusty binoculars so he can spot exotic birds from far away. He even has a journal where he writes down all the different species he finds – it’s really impressive!

No matter what we do, Henry and Mudge always have fun together. I’m so lucky to have such an unforgettable best friend!
