My Experience for I’ll Give You The Sun

Lloyd Kaufman

I was given I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson as a gift and I have to say, it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read! It’s a story about two twins, Noah and Jude, and their incredible journey through life. The story is full of emotion and heartache, but also hope and love.

The thing that really stood out to me about this book was how Nelson was able to capture the bond between the two siblings. You could feel the closeness between them even though they were separated for much of the story. They were able to stay connected in ways that only siblings can, whether through art or music or simply understanding each other on a deeper level.

It’s not often that you find a book that can tug at your heartstrings and make you laugh out loud at the same time. But I’ll Give You The Sun did just that. I found myself so invested in the characters and their lives that I felt like I was right there with them every step of the way.

If you’re looking for an emotionally gripping read filled with love, humor, and hope, then I’ll Give You The Sun is definitely worth picking up!

What I don’t Like

1. Length: At nearly 500 pages, I’ll Give You The Sun is a long read and may be intimidating for some readers.
2. Content: The book deals with mature themes such as death, abuse, and identity which could make it inappropriate for younger readers.
3. Subject Matter: The story may be difficult to relate to if you have not experienced similar life events.
4. Format: I’ll Give You The Sun is only available in paperback format, so those who prefer digital books are out of luck.
5. Contrasting Narratives: Because the story is told by two different characters in alternating chapters, some readers may find it difficult to follow along or connect with the characters.
