What I don’t Like

1. Noisy: This InSinkErator garbage disposal can be quite noisy and disrupt the peace of your home.

2. Short Cord : The cord length is only about 12 inches, which may be inconvenient for some installations.

3. Not Powerful Enough : This model only has a 1/3 HP motor, which may not be powerful enough to grind tough food scraps efficiently.

4. Limited Warranty: The product only comes with a one-year limited warranty, which may not provide enough coverage for long-term use.

How to Easily Install an InSinkErator Garbage Disposal with Cord, Badger 1, 1/3 HP Continuous Feed

Installing a garbage disposal in your kitchen sink can be a daunting task. But with the right tools and a little know-how, you can easily install an InSinkErator Garbage Disposal with Cord, Badger 1, 1/3 HP Continuous Feed. Here’s what you need to know:

Step 1: Gather Your Tools and Supplies

Gather the tools and supplies you’ll need for the job. You’ll need a screwdriver, adjustable wrench, plumber’s putty or silicone sealant, electrical tape, and of course, your new garbage disposal.

Step 2: Prepare Your Sink

Before you begin to install the disposal unit, make sure that all parts of the sink are clean and free of debris. This includes the sink drain basket and all connections between the sink and disposer.

Step 3: Securely Mount Disposal Unit

Using four mounting screws that came with the disposal unit, mount it securely under the sink. Make sure that it is firmly attached to the underside of the sink.

Step 4: Connect Plumbing Components

Connect the drain pipe leading from the sink to the disposer inlet using a slip joint nut and washer. Then connect the discharge pipe from the disposer to your home’s sewer system using a similar connection. For added protection against leaks, use plumber’s putty or silicone sealant around each connection.

Step 5: Connect Electrical Wiring

While electricity is not required for operating most food waste disposers, connecting it will give you more control over its operation. To do this safely, turn off power at your circuit breaker before making any connections. Then use an electrical cord to link the disposer to your home’s ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). Once everything is secured correctly, turn the power back on at your circuit breaker.

Step 6: Test Your Garbage Disposal

Now that everything is connected properly, test out your new garbage disposal by running cold water into it while flipping its switch on and off. If it works as expected, then congratulations! You have successfully installed an InSinkErator Garbage Disposal with Cord, Badger 1, 1/3 HP Continuous Feed in your kitchen sink.
