So I decided to purchase Kon-Tiki, and I was not disappointed. The book tells the incredible story of Heyerdahl’s journey across the Pacific Ocean on a balsa wood raft. It is an inspiring tale of determination, risk taking and adventure that will stay with me forever.

The book was well written, easy to understand and full of fascinating facts and stories. I also loved how it highlighted how Heyerdahl used his knowledge of science and technology to complete his daring mission. It truly was an amazing achievement!

But perhaps the best part of reading Kon-Tiki was being able to imagine what it must have been like for Heyerdahl out there on the open ocean, surrounded by nothing but endless blue water.
