It was a madness of crowds when I went to buy Inspector Gamache’s latest novel, A Madness of Crowds. Everywhere I looked there were people all eagerly anticipating the arrival of this much-anticipated book. It seemed like everyone in town had heard about it and wanted to get their hands on a copy.

I was lucky enough to be one of the first few people in line. As soon as the doors opened, I rushed inside and grabbed my copy. Everyone else followed suit and the store was filled with excited chatter as we all read through our books, discussing our thoughts and opinions on the characters and plot.

The book did not disappoint! Inspector Gamache is such an incredible character; he’s witty, wise and full of surprises. His ability to solve complex cases with just a few clues is truly remarkable. The story itself kept me hooked until the very end, as every twist and turn kept me guessing.

As I stepped out of the store, I couldn’t help but feel thankful that I had been able to experience this madness of crowds, which was only made more special by being able to purchase such an amazing book.
