After all, it has Robert De Niro playing Jack Byrnes – a retired CIA agent and fiercely protective father of the woman I wanted to marry. That’s right, I was about to meet the parents, and what better way to do it than with this hilarious 2000 comedy?

From the start, it was clear that Jack Byrnes had some reservations about me. He put me through tests – from questioning my career ambitions to checking my medical records – in an effort to protect his daughter. He also made sure that I knew he had every intention of preventing our marriage if I didn’t pass these tests.

But, despite his gruff exterior, even Jack couldn’t resist the charms of Ben Stiller as Greg Focker – the man determined to prove himself worthy of his daughter’s hand in marriage. With gut-busting jokes and plenty of awkward moments, Meet The Parents is a classic comedy that will have you rolling on the floor with laughter.
