I’m so glad I picked up Ms. Marvel Volume 1: No Normal! It was an amazing decision that changed my life forever.
When I first saw the cover of this book, I thought it would be like any other comic book. Boy, was I wrong! The story inside was far beyond what I expected.
The main character, Kamala Khan, is a 16 year old girl from Jersey City who discovers she has amazing powers and must learn to use them for good. She soon finds out that in order to save her city she needs to embrace her newly found identity as Ms. Marvel.
Kamala’s journey of self-discovery is truly inspiring and offers a great message about staying true to yourself and being brave enough to embrace your own unique powers. With a combination of heartwarming moments, exciting action scenes and plenty of laughs, it’s impossible not to absolutely love this book!
Since reading Ms. Marvel Volume 1: No Normal, I’ve been hooked on the series and eagerly awaiting the next installment!
