I was so excited when I found out that Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian was released! I had loved the first movie and couldn’t wait to watch this one.
When I put in the DVD and hit play, I knew my expectations were about to be met. It starts off with a bang as Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) gets transported back to the Smithsonian in Washington DC. When he arrives, he finds out that an evil Egyptian Pharaoh has unleashed a reign of terror throughout the museum. All of the museum’s exhibits have been transformed into living creatures and are wreaking havoc on the city.
Larry soon discovers that he must use all his wit, skill, and bravery to save humanity by defeating the Pharaoh. Along his journey, he meets up with some old friends from his first adventure, like Attila the Hun (Patrick Gallagher) and miniature figures from ancient Rome. He also makes some new ones, including Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams), who helps him try to take down the Pharaoh.
The action is non-stop throughout Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, as Larry and his allies face off against mummies, robots, aliens, and more.
