It all started when I was given the book Night Dividedby Jennifer Nielsen. I had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

At first, I thought it was going to be a boring read, with mundane characters and a predictable plot. But as soon as I started reading, I was hooked! The story is set in a divided Berlin during the Cold War and follows Gerta and her family as they try to escape the East side of the city and reunite with their father in West Berlin.

The suspense builds as Gerta finds herself caught up in a dangerous mission that has her risking her life every step of the way. With each page turn, my heart raced faster as I tried to figure out if Gerta and her family would make it across safely or not.

I have to admit, Night Divided kept me on the edge of my seat until I flipped the last page. Even though this book is technically classified as historical fiction, it reads more like an intense thriller – one that you won’t be able to put down until you finish it!
