My name is Jack and I’ve been a fan of Old Yeller by Fred Gipson ever since I was a kid. __It’s an incredible story about a boy and his loyal dog, set in the Wild West.__ When I heard it was available as an HarperClassics, I knew I had to get my hands on it!
I was not disappointed when I finally got my copy. The illustrations are so wonderfully drawn that they almost transport me back to the time of the book’s setting. Every page is filled with adventure and suspense, making me feel like I’m right there alongside young Travis and his beloved Old Yeller.
The characters are so full of life, they become almost real to me while I’m reading. __I can’t help but cheer for Travis every time he stands up against danger.__ And as for Old Yeller? He is truly unforgettable – brave, loyal, affectionate and always ready to protect his family no matter what.
