I recently watched Overboard, a 1987 comedy starring Goldie Hawn, and it truly was an amazing movie! I laughed out loud throughout the entire film.
The movie follows Joanna Stayton (Hawn), who is a rich, spoiled heiress who falls off her yacht and gets amnesia. Dean Proffitt (Kurt Russell) takes it upon himself to teach Joanna a lesson in humility by convincing her that she is his wife and the mother of his four sons. On top of that, he forces her to do all the house chores, including cooking and cleaning.
At first, Joanna is completely overwhelmed by all the work and can’t remember what she’s supposed to do. But as time progresses, she starts gaining confidence and starts taking control of her own life. She even helps Dean with his carpentry business and becomes a real part of his family.
It’s amazing how Goldie Hawn was able to bring this character to life with her amazing acting skills. It’s no wonder why the movie was so successful at the box office! Her character had me laughing in one scene and crying in another.
If you’re looking for a good laugh, then Overboard is definitely worth watching! It has so many heartwarming moments that will make you appreciate the little things in life even more. Plus, it stars two of Hollywood’s biggest stars – Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell – so you know you’re in for a treat!
