My Experience for Patch Adams (1998) (Special Edition)

Ray Cooley

My name is John, and I just watched Robin Williams in the classic comedy Patch Adams (1998) (Special Edition). It was one of the most hilarious movies I have ever seen!

The movie follows the life of Patch Adams, a medical student determined to change the traditional approach of medicine. He is a funny, eccentric character who does his best to bring joy and laughter into other people’s lives. He believes that laughter is the best medicine and he uses it to help his patients heal.

My favorite part was when he dressed up as a clown and visited a children’s hospital. Everyone laughed, especially the kids! But then there were some serious moments too that made me think about how important it is to have compassion for others.

The DVD also has lots of bonus features including deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes footage, and an interview with Robin Williams. It was really interesting to learn more about the making of the film and all the hard work that went into it.

Overall, Patch Adams (1998) (Special Edition) is an amazing movie and I highly recommend watching it if you haven’t already! It will definitely put a smile on your face!

What I don’t Like

1. Not suitable for young children: Patch Adams contains strong language and mature themes, making it unsuitable for young children.
2. Some viewers may find the comedy in the film too dark: While some viewers may find the comedic moments in Patch Adams entertaining and funny, others may find them to be too dark or uncomfortable.
3. The movie is quite long: At 2 hours and 13 minutes, Patch Adams is a rather lengthy movie that may not appeal to those who prefer shorter films.
4. Lack of character development: While there are some interesting characters in this movie, many of them lack sufficient depth and development.
5. Robin William’s performance can feel over-the-top at times: Although Robin Williams gives an admirable performance as Patch Adams, it can sometimes feel a bit over-the-top and exaggerated.
