My Experience for Raising Helen (Widescreen Edition)

Ray Cooley

When I first watched Raising Helen, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But within the first few minutes of the movie, I was hooked! The story revolves around Helen Harris, a successful fashion executive who finds her life turned upside down when she is suddenly made responsible for raising her three nieces and nephew – a task that proves to be much more challenging than she ever imagined.

The story is filled with heart-warming moments and some truly hilarious scenes as Helen navigates her new role as an instant mom. Kate Hudson does an amazing job in her role as Helen, and each of the children she takes in are incredibly lovable. Not to mention, the supporting cast is great too – especially John Corbett as Pastor Dan and Joan Cusack as the overbearing sister-in-law!

I love how this movie captures both the joys and struggles of Raising Helen. It’s so relatable, especially for those of us who are trying to balance work and family responsibilities. You’ll also find some really important life lessons tucked away in there too, like what it means to be a good parent, friend, or neighbor.

All in all, Raising Helen is a great watch that will put a smile on your face and warm your heart. If you’re looking for an uplifting movie night experience, this one’s for you!

What I don’t Like

Product Disadvantages:
1. Lack of focus in the plot, which makes it difficult to follow the story.
2. Predictable plot, with few surprises.
3. Some of the characters are quite one-dimensional and not very likeable.
4. The humor is sometimes overly-sentimental and corny.
5. The themes explored in the film can be a bit heavy-handed.
