Ray Cooley

I was in the market for a thrilling, action-packed movie and Ronin [Blu-ray] did not disappoint! This 1998 classic starring Robert DeNiro, Jean Reno and Natascha McElhone is an absolute must-see.

First of all, the plot is incredible: a team of mercenaries are hired to steal a mysterious briefcase. The catch? None of them know what’s inside or who they’re working for.

The movie is packed with intense car chases and thrilling shootouts. But it’s much more than just a high-octane adrenaline ride — there’s also a complex story at play here that will keep you guessing until the very end.

The cinematography is top notch, giving the movie a gritty, atmospheric feel. And the acting is superb — DeNiro, Reno and McElhone all bring their A-game.

If you haven’t seen Ronin [Blu-ray] yet then I highly recommend it. It’s one of my favorite movies from the 90s and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

What I don’t Like

1. Some viewers may find Ronin a bit slow-paced.
2. The film’s plot is quite complex and can be difficult to follow.
3. The audio mix on the Blu-ray edition is not ideal.
4. Some of the action scenes are shot in shaky, handheld style which can be distracting for some viewers.
5. The special features on the disc are limited.
