This book is an incredible story of how Kunta Kinte and my ancestors persevered through the horrors of slavery, and ultimately became free Americans. The detailed accounts of their struggles brought tears to my eyes, but also reminded me that no matter what life throws at you, you can still fight for freedom. I’m forever grateful for this amazing book which gives me more knowledge about my heritage.
