Not knowing what else to do, Rose agreed and set off into the dark forest with only a single candle to guide her.

When she arrived at the clearing where the old woman had said to go, Rose saw a large crater filled with roses in varying shades of red and pink. She watched as one by one they withered away until nothing remained but their thorns. Suddenly, a voice whispered in her ear: “These are the ruins of roses.
