My Experience for The Sign of the Beaver

My name is John, and I recently read The Sign of the Beaver. It’s a story about a young boy named Matt who is left alone to guard his family’s land in Maine. Initially, he is very scared of being by himself, but soon enough he meets an old Native American man named Attean who helps him learn how to survive in the wilderness.

One of my favorite moments in The Sign of the Beaver was when Matt and Attean started fishing for trout together. It was such a peaceful moment, with them both enjoying nature and talking about life. They even had to create their own fishing rods out of saplings!

But what really made me love this book was how it showed us how two people from completely different backgrounds can become friends if they are willing to learn from each other.
