My Experience for Slap Shot (DVD)

Wendell Galloway

I recently watched the classic comedy movie Slap Shot starring Paul Newman, and it was an absolute blast! I hadn’t seen this movie in years, and I definitely had forgotten how funny it really is.

The plot of Slap Shot follows a small-town hockey team that’s on the brink of folding. To save the team, their coach (Newman) comes up with a plan to win fans: give them exciting hockey. So he brings in his three sons to add some much needed muscle and mayhem to the team. The result is pure, raucous fun!

There are lots of great scenes from Slap Shot, but my favorite has got to be when Reggie Dunlop (Paul Newman) goes into the locker room and starts throwing equipment around. It’s so funny! And all through the movie, there are lots of other fun moments like this.

If you’re looking for a classic comedy that will make you laugh out loud, then Slap Shot is a must-see. It’s no wonder that after all these years, this movie still holds up as one of the funniest sports movies ever made!
