My Experience for Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner

Lloyd Kaufman

Once upon a time, there was a small boy named Little Willy who lived on a farm with his grandpa. Little Willy had the most adventurous spirit and a heart that was full of dreams.

One day, Little Willy decided to join the National Dog Sled Race in his hometown of Wyoming. He heard that the prize money was great and he thought it would be fun to compete. Little Willy knew he had to win the race if he wanted to get the prize money, but there was one problem – he didn’t have a dog or a sled!

That’s when Little Willy remembered Stone Fox, an old Native American legend about a brave warrior who used his strength and courage to win every dog sled race. He thought if he could find Stone Fox and ride him in the race, he just might have a chance at winning the prize money!

Little Willy set off on an epic journey to find Stone Fox. He faced many obstacles along the way, from fierce storms to wild animals, but eventually he made it to Stone Fox’s mountain home and found him! Stone Fox agreed to help Little Willy in the race, and together they raced through snow-covered mountains and forests until they won first place in the National Dog Sled Race!

Thanks to Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner, Little Willy was able to turn his dream into reality. With his newfound wealth, he was able to buy his grandpa’s farm and keep it running for years to come.
