Ray Cooley

I recently watched the Lifetime movie “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le” and it was so inspiring! It was an incredible story about a young woman who faced incredible odds and achieved great success.

The movie follows the life of Michel’le, a singer from Los Angeles who rises to fame in the mid-1980s after being signed to Death Row Records by Dr. Dre and Suge Knight. She is thrust into a world of fame, fortune, and danger as she is surrounded by gang culture, drug abuse, and violence. Despite the risks, Michel’le perseveres and eventually finds her way out of Compton and onto the national stage.

Throughout the movie, I found myself completely engrossed in Michel’le’s story. I admired her courage and strength as she faced overwhelming obstacles with determination and grace. 4. The film portrays a one-sided version of events – some viewers felt that the film was too focused on Michel’le’s experiences and failed to adequately represent other perspectives or facts.
5. It does not provide much context – due to its limited scope, the movie fails to provide enough context for viewers unfamiliar with the subject matter.
