Smokey and the Bandit Part II – Burt Reynolds Delivers Another Fun and Entertaining Adventure!
Smokey and the Bandit Part II is an action-packed movie that continues the adventures of Bo “Bandit” Darville (Burt Reynolds) and Cledus Snow (Jerry Reed). This classic follow-up to the popular Smokey and the Bandit stars a who’s who of Hollywood stars, including Dom DeLuise, Sally Field, Jackie Gleason, Paul Williams, and Charles Nelson Reilly. The film features some of the most iconic car chases in movie history, as well as plenty of laughs. If you’re looking for a great way to spend an evening with friends or family, Smokey and the Bandit Part II is sure to please.
The movie follows up on the story from its predecessor, with Bandit and Snow trying to help their friend Little Enos Burdette (DeLuise) transport 400 cases of beer across state lines. Along the way they must also evade Sheriff Buford T. Justice (Gleason), as well as a trio of bounty hunters led by Junior Justice (Williams). As always with this series, there are plenty of laughs to be had as Bandit outsmarts his pursuers and manages to get the job done.
The action sequences are just as thrilling as those from the first film, if not more so. From high speed chases across highways to wild stunts involving trucks and cars, Smokey and the Bandit Part II has something for every fan of racing movies. The performances all around are top notch, with Reynolds once again giving an excellent performance as the lovable rogue Bandit. All in all, it’s hard to go wrong with this classic sequel.
