My mom is honestly the best. But I still can’t help but sometimes be jealous of my friends and their cool moms. Like, one time my friend’s mom came over with a brand new Xbox and said it was just because she wanted to do something nice for her daughter.

Then there are other times where I see my friends getting away with things that would get me in HUGE trouble with my mom (not that I ever actually do anything bad, but still). It seems like some of these other moms let their kids do whatever they want and never care about consequences.

I know it sounds like I’m complaining, but really I’m just thankful for my mom! She’s always looking out for me and making sure I don’t get myself in any trouble. And if I ever did mess up, she’d be the first one to say “I told you so.”

But even though my mom is strict and serious most of the time, she still knows how to have fun. Recently we read “There Are Moms Worse Than Mine”, which is a hilarious book by author Jodie Lynn Zdrok. It’s all about a young girl who discovers that her mom isn’t as bad as she thought – there are definitely worse moms out there.

The book gave us some good laughs, and it was also kind of an eye-opener. It made me appreciate all the things my mom does for me even more than before! So if you’re looking for a funny read about the ups and downs of motherhood, then this is definitely the book for you.
