My Experience for Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas

Ray Cooley

It was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring…except for me! I was up late watching Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. I had seen it plenty of times before but never tired of its eerie charm.

The movie is set in Halloween Town, where Jack Skellington and his misfit crew of ghouls and gremlins live. He discovers a portal to Christmas Town and decides to take over the holiday from Santa Claus, with hilarious and often spooky consequences.

The animation is stunningly beautiful, combining stop-motion puppetry and computer-generated images for a unique visual treat. The soundtrack is equally enchanting, featuring Danny Elfman’s iconic score as well as other beloved songs like “This Is Halloween” and “What’s This?”

But what really makes this movie special is how it captures the spirit of both Halloween and Christmas. It celebrates the wackiness of both holidays without taking away from their true meaning. It also has a powerful message about being yourself and not trying to fit into someone else’s mold.

So if you haven’t seen Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, I highly recommend it. Whether you’re looking for some spooky fun or a heartwarming holiday story, this classic film has something for everyone.

What I don’t Like

1. Lack of Special Features: The DVD version of this movie does not have any special features, such as deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes footage, or interviews with the cast and crew.
2. Outdated animation: The animation style is outdated compared to modern CGI films, which may be off-putting for some viewers.
3. Age Restriction: The movie has a PG rating, and may be too scary for younger viewers.
4. Expensive Collector’s Edition: A more expensive collector’s edition of the movie is available, with additional bonus features, but it can be quite pricey.
