My Experience for Water for Elephants
I’ve always been a bit of an elephant fan, so when I heard about Water for Elephants, I knew it was something I had to read!
It quickly became one of my favorite books. The story follows Jacob Jankowski, a young man who joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth after his parents die. He meets many new people and animals along the way, including August and Marlena – two star performers in the show – and Rosie – an elephant with whom he forms a special bond.
The characters are vibrant and complex, and their relationships are even more so. I loved reading about the friendship between Jacob, August and Marlena as well as the unique bond they form with Rosie the elephant. It’s a beautiful story that is both heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time.
