My Experience for When the Daltons Rode

Lloyd Kaufman

I remember it like it was yesterday: the first time I rode with the Daltons. It was a wild and exciting ride!

I had never seen anything like it before! The sound of their horses’ hooves thundering against the ground, the smell of gunpowder in the air, and the way they shouted out orders to one another – it all made for a thrilling experience.

We started off at a full gallop, taking turns riding on each other’s backs as we sped through the countryside. I wasn’t sure what we were going to do, but I knew it was going to be an adventure!

Eventually, we came across a small town that was being terrorized by outlaws. We decided to take them on and show them who was boss. I could feel my heart pounding as we charged into town, guns blazing! In no time, we had rounded up all of the bandits and sent them running for their lives.

It was then that I truly realized what life with the Daltons must be like – dangerous and unpredictable, but always full of excitement! That’s why When the Daltons Rode, by Emmett Dalton is such an incredible book. It takes you right into the heart of their wild escapades so you can experience it firsthand.

What I don’t Like

1. Lacks historical accuracy – While the book does provide an entertaining account of the Daltons’ exploits, some events and characters are not historically accurate.

2. Little known facts about the Daltons – Though the book does cover some details about the gang, it fails to go in depth into some of the lesser-known details about their deeds.

3. No clear focus – Rather than focusing on one particular aspect of their story, this book covers many different topics related to the Daltons, which can make it difficult to follow.

4. Too much fictionalization – Though the book is based on real events, it has been largely fictionalized to make for an exciting narrative, which may disappoint readers interested in a more factual account of the outlaws’ lives.
